THE BRIEF
Collaborative planning approach to reduce programme
Our brief was to look at Proud Mary’s refurbishment model and use our collaborative planning technique to reduce waste, making the programme leaner and more efficient without compromising on health, safety or quality.
OUR APPROACH
Collaborative planning, lean off-site construction
We started this project by inviting Proud Mary and their key supply chain partners to participate in an interactive collaborative planning session. Within this session we took time to fully understand the project, we then visually acted out the works, something we call ‘Project Choreography’ What can we build off-site? Where can we reduce waste? How can we deliver this project quicker and leaner?
Through our collaborative planning approach, efficient programme and a great delivery on site, we delivered this project 1 week ahead of the original programme whilst incorporating the refurbishment of a whole new floor which wasn’t in the original scope of works.
THE OUTCOMES
Successful delivery of a £1.1m project in just 14 weeks.
This was a very challenging project for our team, however by working collaboratively with Proud Mary, our supply chain partners, direct trades as well as local trades in South Wales, we delivered on time and most importantly we met the expectations of our customer.
