THE BRIEF

We were approached by B&Q to assist in developing a scope for a new merchandise layout in one of their stores in Woodgreen, London. Previously, B&Q had appointed a contractor to deliver these works but due to our performance, collaborative planning and innovative approach on other works, we were trusted to deliver their vision.

The most challenging element of the brief was the tight programme, we needed to develop the scope and deliver the works in just 6 weeks from the point of the call to handover

OUR APPROACH

A quick turnaround
We approached this fast-track project as we do with all our retail projects with collaborative planning, lean construction processes and a clear understanding of our clients wants, needs and expectations for the project.

To ensure we delivered on our promises and achieved the brief, we had to ensure a fast mobilisation period and quick start on site. We quickly utilised the expertise of our experience fit-out teams, our supply chain partners and our CDS manufacturing facility to completely strip back the existing space to its shell, whilst manufacturing all the fixtures and fitting in our manufacturing facility. This approach dramatically reduces programme and ensures that we minimise labour on site without compromising on quality or safety.

THE OUTCOMES

On time and in budget
The key to the success of this project was fast mobilisation, effective project management and lean construction. With our ability to start the project quickly, utilise our supply chain and manufacture off site reducing our onsite programme we delivered this project within 6 weeks to our clients expectations.
